How do I start tracking my trips?
MileLog offers two ways to track your trips:
- Manual entry - Add trips by entering the details manually
- Auto-tracking with car movements - automatically start tracking
Is an account required to use MileLog?
No, MileLog requires no account or registration. Simply download the app and start using it immediately.
Where is my data stored?
All your trip data is stored locally on your device.
You can optionally enable Cloud sync to back up your data across your devices and our server.
How do I export my mileage reports?
(Coming Soon) MileLog will support IRS and CRA compliant exports, allowing you to generate reports in formats accepted by tax authorities.
Does MileLog work offline?
Yes, MileLog is fully offline-ready. It works without an internet connection as all data is stored locally on your device.
How do I calculate mileage rates?
(Coming Soon) MileLog will include automatic rate calculations with built-in IRS and CRA rate computations.
Troubleshooting
The app is not auto-starting with CarPlay
Make sure you have:
- Granted location permissions to the app
- Properly connected your device to CarPlay
- Updated to the latest version of MileLog
Trip data not appearing
If you're unable to see your trip data:
- Restart the app
- Check if you have sufficient storage space on your device
- Ensure you're viewing the correct date range in the history view
