Trip Management​

Automatic Trip Detection​

MileLog uses your device's location services to automatically detect when you're driving. The app intelligently identifies:

  • When a trip begins and ends
  • The route taken
  • The distance traveled
  • The duration of your trip

You can adjust the sensitivity of trip detection in the Settings screen to match your specific needs.

Manual Trip Entry​

For trips that weren't automatically recorded, you can manually add them with:

  • Start and end addresses
  • Trip distance
  • Date and time
  • Trip purpose (business, personal, medical, charity, etc.)
  • Additional notes

Trip Editing​

Easily edit any trip details after they've been recorded:

  • Correct the trip distance
  • Change trip classification
  • Add notes and receipts
  • Split trips that may have been incorrectly combined

Trip Classification​

Classify your trips into different categories:

  • Business - For work-related drives
  • Personal - For non-deductible personal trips
  • Medical - For travel to medical appointments
  • Charity - For volunteer work
  • Moving - For relocation purposes
  • Custom - Create your own categories

CarPlay Integration​

Auto-Start with CarPlay​

When you connect your device to a CarPlay-enabled vehicle:

  • Trip tracking can start automatically
  • Trip details display on your CarPlay screen
  • End trips manually or automatically when disconnected
